Reza Eskandari, MD, MACP, RP

Registered Psychotherapist (CRPO #13435)

Starting therapy can feel like a big step. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply looking for a deeper understanding of yourself, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

I am a Registered Psychotherapist providing individual and couple therapy to adolescents and adults across Ontario. Since joining Better Life Counselling Center (BLCC) in 2022, I have worked with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD-related challenges, emotional regulation difficulties, and relationship concerns. I also support individuals navigating life transitions, including migration, identity changes, and family stress.

My approach is collaborative, respectful, and tailored to your unique needs. I draw from evidence-informed therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Imago Relationship Therapy, and the Gottman Method. Together, we work to increase emotional awareness, build practical coping strategies, and help you move toward a life that reflects your values.

In addition to psychotherapy, I provide structured ADHD and psychological assessments using standardized tools as part of a comprehensive evaluation process.

I bring over 20 years of combined clinical and research experience, including a medical background in psychiatry (completed outside Canada) and postdoctoral research training at Harvard Medical School. My work is grounded in both scientific understanding and a deep respect for each client’s lived experience.

I offer therapy in both English and Persian (Farsi), and I am committed to creating a safe, culturally responsive, and non-judgmental space where you can feel heard and supported.

Areas of Focus • Anxiety and stress • Depression and mood concerns • Trauma and PTSD • ADHD and attention difficulties • Emotional regulation • Relationship and couples therapy • Life transitions and migration-related stress
